The White Lion version charted at #59 on The Billboard Hot 100.
Goth-pop band Ghost Dance recorded a cover of the song on the B-side of their "Heart Full of Soul" single, itself a cover of the Yardbirds track.
The song was also covered by industrial metal band Ministry on the 2008 album Cover Up.

It also appeared in The Simpsons episode "Bart on the Road", and in the film Baby Driver as well as the film's trailers. Furthermore, it was featured in The Blacklist: Season 3, Episode 6 - "Sir Crispin Crandall", and in the movie Cedar Rapids.
Golden Earring sing it on The Grand Tour episode 5, Moroccan Roll, as guests of Celebrity Brain Crash, but only manage the first lyric when they were 'electrocuted' to death.
